Meet The Founder
The owner, Simon, started worldoftelescopes.co.uk to help those who want to explore and learn more about the universe.
In the early 2000’s Simon was introduced to astronomy when his dad bought him his first telescope. Having asked his father for detailed facts about each and every star and planet he could see, it was clearly a matter of time before Simon needed the opportunity to discover more about space.
Up until this point, Simon had no idea of the joy that astronomy could bring to his life. It wasn’t long before he began wanting to see even further into space and to see objects in greater detail. He did some telescope research online but couldn’t find an online store that was easy to shop or had a wide-selection of telescopes. Many also lacked educational articles to help him learn how to use and maintain his telescope. He decided to start a brand new website called worldoftelescopes.co.uk, the one you’re on right now, to help those who want to shop, browse and learn all in one place
Today, we stay true to our roots and are online-only. We plan to stay that way in order to offer our customers the lowest possible factory-direct prices, fastest shipping times, and world-class customer service by phone and email.
