The name Hummingbird embodies the key qualities of hummingbirds: its small size, exceptional mobility allowing it to fly in any direction, and the capacity for long-distance travel, with many species migrating between South and North America. True to its namesake, the Celestron Hummingbird is a "micro" ED spotting scope, well-suited for both long-distance travel and backyard observations.

Designed with travel in mind, the Hummingbird easily fits into a pocket, shoulder bag, or carry-on luggage. This spotting scope serves as an ideal companion for traveling birders, offering a more travel-friendly alternative to full-size spotting scopes. With its lowest magnification level, it can also serve as a substitute for binoculars, providing versatility for various observation needs.

ED Objective Lenses

The inclusion of Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass in the Hummingbird virtually eradicates chromatic aberration, commonly known as colour fringing, which is a typical visual defect in binoculars. The Hummingbird ED ensures edge-to-edge sharpness, excellent colour correction, and delivers razor-sharp images.

It's crucial to note that not all ED glass is of the same quality. Celestron's high-quality ED glass stands out, providing visibly brighter and sharper images in comparison to non-ED binoculars. This distinction becomes particularly evident in challenging lighting conditions, such as dawn or dusk, where the Hummingbird ED excels in delivering superior performance.

Premium Waterproof Construction

The Hummingbird is constructed with a waterproof and nitrogen-filled design, providing protection against wet weather, humid conditions, and various environmental challenges. The durable armour further safeguards the Hummingbird from bumps and jolts, ensuring resilience during transport and in the field. This robust construction enhances the overall durability and reliability of the spotting scope in diverse conditions.

Compact & Versatile

Designed with travel in mind, the Hummingbird is highly portable and can easily fit in a pocket, shoulder bag, or carry-on luggage. This spotting scope is an excellent choice for traveling birders seeking a more travel-friendly alternative to a full-size spotting scope. Additionally, the lowest magnification level makes it a versatile substitute for binoculars.

The Hummingbird is adaptable to tripods, monopods, and window mounts, offering various options for viewing. This spotting scope can be easily secured to a stable platform, providing comfort for extended-duration or long-distance viewing. With a birder-friendly close focus distance of 10 ft. / 3m, the Hummingbird meets the requirements of birding field optics, ensuring optimal performance for observing nearby subjects.
