Attaching the Reducer to Your 60EDF Refractor
To connect the reducer to your 60EDF Refractor, follow these simple steps:
-
Unscrew the Rear 2" Push-Fit Adaptor: Remove the existing rear 2" push-fit adaptor from the Camera Rotator located on the back of the focuser.
-
Secure the Reducer into the Focuser: Screw the reducer into the focuser to achieve a rigid and secure fit.
Key Specifications:
-
Optimal Spacing: Maintain a spacing of 55mm from the rear flat shoulder of the reducer to your camera sensor, excluding all threads.
-
Camera-Facing Rear Thread: The rear thread facing the camera is M48 male, providing compatibility with the Starwave DSLR Adapter for Canon/Nikon. It also accommodates various Altair Astro M48 spacers, enhancing flexibility for use with CMOS astro cameras.
-
Hypercam Compatibility: For Hypercam users, initiate with the M48-T2-15.5-EXT adapter to transition from M48 to T2-Thread. Customise the distance to your sensor by selecting from a range of T2 spacer rings.
