The Sky Rover Banner Cloud 120mm Giant (Straight) is the newest addition to Sky Rover’s large-binocular range. With the straight model added, the Giant series now comes in three viewing angles, straight, 45 degree and 90 degree, so you can pick whichever suits how you like to observe.

It uses a Porro Type II prism system with a generous 40mm exit aperture at the eyepiece end, so it works with the full range of 2-inch eyepieces. The composite Porro II design is stable and shock-resistant and cuts down stray light, which helps keep the image clean and bright.

A pair of independent 2-inch helical focusers let you focus each side, and you can swap eyepieces of different focal lengths, or use an adaptor for 1.25-inch eyepieces, to reach a wide range of magnifications from one instrument.

Each pair comes with UF30mm eyepieces, giving 22x and a 72 degree apparent field of view, an exit pupil of around 5.5mm and a true field of view of about 3.27 degrees (distortion-corrected). With 22mm of eye relief, you still get the full field even while wearing glasses.

The optical body (not including the eyepieces) is IPX7 waterproof, so it copes with rain and damp out in the field. The objective caps have been upgraded to soft, hard-wearing rubber covers with built-in lanyard holes.

Each one ships in a dedicated Sky Rover hard case made for the Giant series, with a U-MOUNT storage slot that also takes other accessories, for safe transport and easy storage.
