Sky Rover 115 APO Triplet F/7 Refractor Telescope

The Sky Rover 115mm f/7 APO is an apochromatic refractor built around a three-element, air-spaced optical design that includes one ED (extra-low dispersion) glass element.

It comes with a dual-speed 2.5 inch rack-and-pinion focuser. The focuser is CNC machined, with an anti-reflective internal finish and matte paint to help eliminate stray light.

 

It can be paired with an optional 1× flattener or 0.8× reducer:

  • The 1× flattener keeps the focal ratio the same and corrects field curvature and coma, giving flatter field edges and finer star points.
  • The 0.8× reducer lowers the focal ratio to f/5.6 for a wider field of view and faster exposures, ideal for imaging nebulae, star clusters and faint objects.

 

The detachable tube design suits both visual observing and astrophotography, and supports binoviewers and other accessories.

Visual observers do not need a CAA. To keep the weight down, the CAA is supplied separately with the flattener and reducer. If you use more than one flattener or reducer, you still only need a single CAA.
