The DWARFLAB Draco Standard Edition is a portable, all-in-one smart observatory built for deep-sky imaging. A 90mm f/3.8 catadioptric optic, a 50MP sensor, a built-in guide scope, physical field-rotation correction and active cooling, in a sealed 5.5kg body.

Draco replaces a workflow that would normally need a mount, a camera, a guide setup and a laptop. Target finding, tracking, guiding, field-rotation correction, capture, stacking and processing all happen in one integrated system.
Beginners get an automated app workflow. Advanced users get Pro Mode, EQ tracking and FITS export.

Standard Edition (this one) — the versatile all-rounder. Built-in ND solar filter, plus astronomical, dark-frame and Hα + OIII dual-narrowband filters.

SHO Edition — the nebula specialist. Adds an SII + OIII dual-narrowband filter for full Hubble-palette capture, with an external magnetic solar filter.

90mm Aperture at f/3.8
Aperture sets the ceiling on what any telescope can resolve, and at 90mm Draco gathers serious light. The fast f/3.8 focal ratio means it gets there quicker too — roughly 2.2 times the light throughput of a typical f/5.6 system, so usable signal builds in a fraction of the time.
A catadioptric design folds the 340mm focal length into a body you can carry in one hand.



50MP Telephoto Camera
A 50.33MP sensor resolving 0.73 arc-seconds per pixel. For deep-sky work, 2×2 binning combines pixels into a cleaner 12.58MP file at 1.45 arc-seconds per pixel. The native 1.197µm pixels are there when you want maximum lunar and planetary detail.



Built-in Guide Scope and 300-Second Exposures
An independent guide-scope sensor applies real-time tracking correction, so single frames can run to a full 300 seconds and let faint structure build up properly. EQ Mode adds stable tracking for deeper imaging without a separate equatorial mount.



Temperature, Mastered All Night
CMOS cooling reduces thermal noise at the source rather than trying to remove it afterwards. Waste heat from the sensor is then reused to keep the front element clear, so dew does not end the session early.
IP56-rated protection means Draco stays reliable outdoors through dust and brief rain, across an operating range of −20°C to 45°C.



Rotating CMOS, Free-Angle Composition
The sensor physically rotates through ±90°, which both compensates for field rotation and lets you frame vertically or diagonally without repositioning the instrument or cropping afterwards.



Two Cameras, One Session
A 50MP wide-angle camera with an 85.74° diagonal field handles target finding, framing and large-scale scenes like the Milky Way, while the telephoto works the deep-sky target. Both can record at the same time.



Automatic, Yet Fully in Your Control
Auto Mode handles the settings for you. Pro Mode hands them back. Remote control covers shooting settings, configuration changes and dark-frame cover operation, so you do not need to be on site.
Deep-sky, Solar System, Milky Way, star trails, time-lapse, panorama and automatic tracking are all supported, with JPG, PNG, TIFF and FITS output.



Stable Support for Draco
A standard aluminium-alloy tripod with an aluminium platform, connectors and legs for high support strength at low weight. TPR foot pads add ground friction and placement stability.
